For school, I was tasked with projecting a resort town in the State of Hawaii. This map utilizes contrasting colors for the ground cover to show the vegetation of the study area. As seen highlighted in red are the well manicured turfgrasses, landscaped yards, and green spaces that require human interference to be able to survive in that ecosystem. Meanwhile, what appears green on the projection is actually the natural flora of the area which includes vegetation like wild grasses and shrubs that are natural to the area and don't receive manicuring from humans. These maps are useful in showing what is more of a natural landscape and what areas are manufactured by humans to suit the liking of the people within the community.
