This map is just one of the maps I'm planning to make in an effort to familiarize myself with the Geography and history of biblical lands. There are more to come as I try to grapple with this rather daunting task. Perhaps it's too ambitious. Well known Cartographic institutions have gone before me. Famous Cartographers mapped and remapped this area in the past. However, with the data and softwares available to us now, the prospect of doing it doesn't look too bleak. I was surprised that data, procedures, methods and softwares I could only dream of way back 1997 when I first started working as Geographic Information system Technologist and remote sensing technologist are now readily available for free( Not to mention historical data etc.) or at a price affordable for people like me with a very low budget. So I humbly ask you to join me on this rather interesting journey and let us explore the Land of the Bible in an effort to understand more the people and the lands mentioned in the Holy book. Hoping that this result in a better understanding of God's word.
