This project displays the locations of oil fields and nonenergy leasable alternatives in relation to habitat management areas in South Dakota. According to the project there is an overlap between oil fields and nonenergy leasable alternatives in the northwest portion of the state, and these layers overlap the habitat management areas in this part of the state. Areas of overlap between the oil fields and non leasable alternatives are represented on the map in a dark orange color while the rest nonenergy leasable alternatives are in a bright orange color on the map. Oil fields are also in southwest part of the state while there some nonenergy leasable alternatives near the center.
