Torngat Mountains Digital Elevaton Model

A Digital Elevation Model of the Torngat Mountains, located in Northern Labrador, Canada.

Landsat 8 Imagery (Sept. 2017) sourced from USGS Earth Explorer, was used to create a colour image of the mountains using ArcGIS Pro. A digital elevation model was made by creating a mosaic of several DEM images from the USGS 3D Elevation Program (3DEP) using ArcGIS Pro. The colour imagery and DEM were then exported to Blender to create a height map of a plane surface, using the DEM as the reference data for displacing the plane and creating the three dimensional effect of the mountains. Some very minor saturation and brightness tweaking of the colour Landsat imagery done in GIMP. Final map created in Adobe Illustrator.
