Exercise 2a/b- Basics and Beyond Basics

The exercise was to help understand importing a map document, creating a folder connection, modifying map contents, modifying symbols, measuring distances, adding a base map and packaging and sharing the map. For this exercise I was using a world map that was separating populations from cities, the bigger the circle symbol was the more population the city has and the country population as the whole colour (the darker the colour the higher the population). The air pollution by country layer highlighted the particulate matter concentration measurements for each country.

This exercise could be helpful to understand which countries suffer from resource scarcity, and comparing it to others. This can be helpful from environmental stand point because with climate change happening countries are beginning to lose resources, and if we could look at a map and see which countries are suffering from this we could compare and see if it has a connection with the part of the world they are in.
