Developed a suitability model to identify optimal vineyard locations in the Southern Okanagan Valley by integrating climate normals (GDD, frost-free days, extreme cold risk), soil, utilities, hydrology, topography, and zoning/land use data. The analysis used Python scripts data to process climate data and ArcGIS Pro weighted overlays, producing parcel-level suitability scores visualized in an interactive ArcGIS Online Web Experience Builder app. The project shows how spatial analysis can guide agricultural planning by bringing together environmental, climatic, and land-use factors for viticulture.
