Connectivity ratio is the value that explains the degree of road connection in a neighborhood, the ratio ranges from 0 - 1. The near the value to 1 the higher the connectivity of the road, and the lower the cul-de-sac.

Cul-de-sac is a type of neighborhood design in town planing where the road end with close I.e. the entering point is the same as the exist point.

The calculation is done by dividing the number of connecting nodes (junction) with the number of total nodes.

Road network is first prepared and analysed to make each nodes represents either the starting of a road, ending point of a road ,or a junction.

Using the OSM road data, the LGA's in Lagos has connectivity ratio higher than 0.5 this shows that there are lesser cul-de-sac neighborhood in Lagos, this is one of the factor for consideration in crime analysis.
