Map of Illinois

Map of Illinois is the third exercise in the ArcGIS textbook. In this activity, users will learn how to extract a specific part of a dataset and add it to this map. This map originally included Wisconsin, Michigan, Illinois, Indiana, and Ohio but by using a new tool called the Attributes Table, users are able to narrow down the information to only show Illinois. This activity also brings back a tool used previously in the school mapping project; Symbolism. Any new users will get to learn how to use this tool and old users will get more practice with this tool. Once users are familiar with using the Symbology tool and exporting features from a database, the following exercises can be done fairly easily.
