This project in ArcGIS focused on condensing data down to a specific location within the attribute table. What this means is that the data we had on hand was for obesity prevalence in some of the American Midwest states but we only wanted to look at a Illinois specifically for. Using the attribute tools we were able to make a sperate layer of just Illinois to show how prevalent obesity is in each county clearer.

Environmental applications of a similar project may be keeping an eye on a disease spreading within a large area and needed to break it down into smaller chunks. This could also be used to keep an eye on ash borer population as an example or at least the amount of trees infected in a region.
