For the topographic relief map of San Diego County, CA, I combined elevation data to visually represent the county’s varied terrain. I applied a hillside with a color ramp based on elevation, and added contour lines and labels to help visualize the area. The map highlights elevation ranges, with clear distinctions between lowlands, foothills, and higher elevations, making it easier to understand the landscape's topographic complexity. By layering major roads and state highways, I emphasized accessible routes through different elevation zones, aiding in site suitability assessments and planning. This relief map provides a foundation for understanding how terrain impacts campsite accessibility and suitability, contributing to a comprehensive environmental analysis of the area.
