DEM mapping using a basin boundary layer (USGS/WBD/2017/HUC06) and a void-filled digital elevation model
Void-filled elevation data essentially are spikes and wells in the elevation dataset that's detected and filled using a local interpolation. Often desired for hydrological models that rely on water to travel across the terrain as it would in reality.
Slope and aspect data used in topographic modeling include soil erosivity indices and the topographic wetness index (TWI). Aspect can be a useful tool for identifying landscape features such as ridges and valleys and can be used to estimate the periodicity of sunlight reaching a surface.
