This project has analyzed the case of the fire that occurred in 2022 in the Sierra de Los Guájares (Granada). The project has been carried out in Google Earth Engine (GEE) to establish an unsupervised classification of the severity of the fire, in order to assess the damage caused by it. For this purpose, the Normalized Burn Ratio (NBR) variation has been calculated as shown in the first map. This information is also very useful for the design of an action plan for the recovery of the area, if necessary.

The map shows the most affected areas in red and warm tones, while the least affected areas are visualized in shades close to green.
