This project aims to see if there is a relationship between active wastewater monitor wells, and lead mines in the state of Idaho. Lead ore is one of Idaho's leading mineral exports, and according to the project the majority of lead mines are in central and south central Idaho. Although, there does not seem to be relationship between mines in these parts of the state and active wastewater wells, as they do not seem to overlap very much in this part of the state and only a little in the southeast corner. Northern Idaho reveals a greater relationship between the two variables near Couer d Alene with a large concentration of lead mines overlapping with some wastewater wells near the city.
