The point of this research was to identify the most suitable location for a new Mountain Equipment Company (MEC) flagship store in Metro Vancouver. A location–allocation network analysis was first applied to reduce twenty candidate sites to five by optimizing access to population-based demand, followed by evaluation using six geospatial criteria related to accessibility, urban context, and site feasibility. The analysis ultimately recommends a site in northern Vancouver (Map 2).
