Flooding in Forest City Malaysia

This figure presents projected coastal inundation depths across Forest City under the IPCC AR6 high-end SSP5-8.5 sea-level rise scenario for three time horizons: (a) 2050, (b) 2100, and (c) 2150. Inundation depths (in meters) are calculated as the vertical difference between the projected mean sea level and the local ground elevation, using a DEM-based bathtub modelling approach. Sea-level projections are derived from West Tuas tidal gauge data in Singapore and referenced to a 1995–2014 baseline period. The maps illustrate the progressive spatial expansion and deepening of inundation under a worst-case emissions pathway.
