Located in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada is located River Ridge Ranch. The task of this project was to delineate a riparian zone and obtain statistics about the vegetation within the zone. To achieve this task I had to process a LiDAR pointcloud and go about the preprocessing that goes with LiDAR data. I created LiDAR derived CHMs, DTMs and a slope analysis mask to create this riparian zone.

The initial LiDAR processing was done using RStudio with help of the lidr package and the resulting outputs were then taken to Google Colab which I then completed the rest of my analysis using Python.
