To create a predicted sea level rise map of Tampa, Florida, I gathered relevant elevation and coastline data using high-resolution Digital Elevation Models (DEMs) and geographic information systems (GIS) tools like QGIS. I analyzed climate data and projections from sources such as NOAA reports to estimate expected sea level changes. Using spatial analysis techniques, I overlaid projected sea level rise on current elevation data to identify vulnerable areas. I applied tools like raster analysis to visualize inundation zones with three risk scenarios: low sea level rise, medium sea level rise, and high sea level rise. Finally, I refined the map to clearly communicate high-risk areas, providing an insightful tool for urban planners and policymakers.
