This map includes four Landsat 5 layers showing most of the Willamette River watershed and surrounding areas.

In Landsat 5 TM data, band 2 is the green band, and band 5 is a NIR band. Two of the datasets provided were captured on 11 Feb 1996, near the height of the flooding, and the other two datasets are from 14 Mar 1996, after the flood waters had receded. Using the Raster Calculator, I construct a NDWI layer using the 11 Feb data and the 14 Mar data. With those two layers i used the raster calculator again to create a raster of the difference and created a simple map hilting the difference in calculated with a shade of purple.
