The project explores futures for rapid transit (especially SkyTrain) in the Greater Vancouver area. The map shows middle-class residents not served by rapid transit, below 200m elevation (since higher-elevation areas might be better served by transit methods other than the SkyTrain).
The analysis included finding subset data of Median Household Income and Commute Duration layers from the Library of Vancouver Demographics, SkyTrain stop locations from OpenStreetMap, and extracting raster data from the BC government for raster calculations. The 'suitable data' layers were then clipped with a polygonized version of the raster to produce the map.
