Data engineering using ArcGISpro

This project aimed to prepare election result data for predictive analysis using ArcGIS Pro. By leveraging the capabilities of ArcGIS Pro and its Data Engineering view, I effectively cleaned, prepared, and geoenriched the data, laying the foundation for subsequent analysis and modeling.

Key tasks included:

  • Data acquisition: Downloading and organizing election result data from the source.

  • Data exploration: Using ArcGIS Notebooks to explore the data structure and identify potential issues.

  • Data cleaning: Addressing data quality issues such as missing values and inconsistencies.

  • Geocoding: Assigning geographic coordinates to election results data based on county FIPS codes.

  • Geoenrichment: Adding demographic variables to the dataset using the Enrich tool in ArcGIS Pro.

By completing these tasks, I successfully prepared the data for further analysis, enabling a deeper understanding of voter turnout patterns and factors influencing election results.
