The data on tree species across the UBC campus was collected by students from a tree biology class. The data was converted from a CSV file to a point feature class using the X and Y coordinates. Apart from this, the project also involved digitizing new roads and buildings using aerial imagery that was georeferenced to the current geographic coordinates. Apart from this, the project also involved asset management tasks such as digitizing new roads and buildings and updating the attribute information. Lastly, the addresses were geocoded to ensure consistent tree maintenance schedules.
