This StoryMap, “Wetland Watch,” is a drone- and GIS-based assessment of wetland vegetation health at Camp Snyder in Haymarket, Virginia. The drone material was collected by me and my class, and the project combines multispectral imagery, thermal imagery, LiDAR point clouds, and elevation models to evaluate plant health, distinguish native vegetation from invasive species, and show how wetland structure changes across the site. The project is presented as an interactive StoryMaps narrative, so the analysis is not just mapped but also explained section by section for a wider audience.
