The Bat Conservation Strategy was a multi-agency project that resulted in conservation measures to protect four core bat species that were severely impacted by White-nosed syndrome. Data was collected from both public and private sectors in various formats and cross-walked into an established Enterprise database schema. These data were then used to create buffered protection areas to be considered when creating resource projects within USFS lands. Moreover, the BCS established an expedited framework for USFWS consultation efforts. My role was the Lead for the data team which was responsible for GIS workflow development and data governance. I have added some screenshots of map products, tools, and data management workflows.
