These are some examples of maps I have made supporting Wildfire Incidents as a Geographic Information Systems Specialist (GISS). This type o work entails long hours coupled with high pressure data processing and map production. It is absolutely critical to ensure data accuracy and display for public and fire fighter safety. I performed this type of work for 7 years on an annual basis as fire season dictates. This is a collateral duty that requires annual testing and maintenance of qualifications. It also requires time away from home and a commitment to an incident management team.
