This Timelapse shows the change in land use due to copper mining in Donoso, Colon Province, Panama.

Satellite images are sourced from Planet & NICFI (Norway's International Climate and Forest Initiative) Tropical Forest bi-annual Basemaps covering the study area. 

The timelapse creation process involved Google Earth Engine's Python API and the geemap package, using Google Colab.
