Inspired by John Nelson's tutorial on Youtube I made a series of these faux-3D maps of some places with interesting topography. I am most proud of the Table Mountain one, since I had visited last winter and fell in love with the geography. When choosing the colors for that map I used an image of Bo Kaap, a neighborhood at the base of table mountain famous for it's colorful houses. These maps mostly required acquisition and manipulation of raster data.
