a)   Chapter 1 explores a public map of Washington DC. I completed this chapter in September of 2024. By following the steps in this chapter I explored the public map, configured the map symbology, configured map pop-up window, configured filter and clustering, and saved the map.

b)  This exercise could apply in an environmental application, it could be used for showing the layers and numbers of animals/species in an area. Such as species that are competing in the same area. The tools used in this exercise would show numbers and the area of which the animals or species are located.
