Exercise 3a- Extract part of dataset

The context of this exercise was to raise awareness about lowering obesity rates in the state of Illinois. I was to combine obesity statistics with county data GIS. In order to achieve this I had to export features to a new dataset to only focus on Illinois. I created an expression called an attribute table which is a feature in a table that meet user defined criteria.

I could apply this exercise in an environmental scenario by using it to help show declining rates of food waste in a state. This could help understand what towns need more help and education around their food waste habits and what towns need more attention. Food waste is a big waste producer, from overconsumption. To help overcome and get close to the goal of zero waste by seeing the high waste areas, and knowing where the low waste areas are.
