In this project we used GIS to find the walking distance to schools as well as looking at accidents in the Washington area. It took time to figure out the location of different icons that were needed to change and add to the map. It was a process that started with adding public schools to the map and then looking at the school walking area as well as vision zero safety.

I could apply this exercise in agriculture to map field locations to conduct soil samples in different plots and areas within a field and by using GIS mapping it would help to have a digital outlining to stay organized and also remember where on the map I took the soil sample on. This would be beneficial for farmers and research teams.
