a) Chapter 2 a/b involved the world map and the exercise objectives were: Learn some basics: starting a new project, importing a map document, creating a folder connection, modifying map contents, exploring the map, examining the contextual ribbon, examining feature attributes, and selecting features. As well as Go beyond the basics: modifying feature symbols, labelling features, measuring distances, adding a basemap, and packaging and sharing a map. I completed this chapter in September of 2024.
b) I would apply this same exercise in an environmental workplace for data management, creating maps for reports, and using the buffer tool to create a buffer around waterways and/or roadways.
