a)  The chapter 3a exercise objective was to Extract part of the dataset: add data to a project, select features by attributes, and export the selection to a new dataset. The map was based in North America, and I completed this chapter in September of 2024.

b) I would apply this same exercise in an environmental workplace by again using the buffer to create a buffer around waterways and urban areas, using the intersect tool to combine forest cover and species habitat layers, using the clip tool to extract certain data
