A land cover classification of the University of Sussex campus, as an assignment for the Environmental Research Skills in my BSc Geography degree. The aim was to compare the accuracy of supervised and unsupervised classifications. The former was verified using validation points collected in the field. Results showed that the supervised classification was 20% more accurate than the unsupervised one.
Feedback from my tutor suggested I use more distinct colours in my layer styling, to make the map easier to read. I have applied this feedback in later projects.
