To assess an area in the city of Atlanta and to determine, if any locations are located in a food desert, and if so which areas. I specifically looked at distance from Produce (veggies, fruit) which includes Produce Grocery Stores, Farmers/Produce Markets, and Community Farms. I did not consider gas stations or convenience stores as most do not carry produce. This is an important problem as not getting the proper nutrients in food can have cascading effects on other parts of people's lives. This lab will help you gain experience in Geocoding and Weighted suitability models.
