This project explores the relationship between critical habitats, sensitive groundwaters, and oil and gas leases in North Dakota. There seems to be some overlap with some between the three variables in the western half of the state as this is where the majority of oil and gas leases are located along with critical habitats and sensitive groundwater areas.
